Week 5: Runes of Aldur: peg blows past 680 ex, runes flip, ritual omens surge

Week five on the Currency Exchange: one Divine cost 75% more Exalted than Monday, last week's rune chase reversed, ritual omens repriced hard, and lineage supports rotated again.

Week 4 ended with one Divine at 369 Exalted and a question whether the peg would pause above 350 ex. Week 5 didn't pause — it accelerated. Divines kept getting more expensive in Exalted terms, last week's rune winners gave back the move, and ritual omens repriced like the market finally priced in favour farming. If you need the arc from league open, Week 1 through Week 4 cover patch chaos through the first rune explosion.

Number of the week
+75%

How much more expensive one Divine got in Exalted terms — 389 ex per div on June 27, 681 ex per div by July 3.

What moved up

The Divine–Exalted peg didn't slow down. The baseline we track moved from 389 Exalted per Divine at the start of the window to 681 Exalted per Divine by Friday close. That's +75% on top of Week 4's already-brutal climb. If you're farming Exalted and waiting to convert, the price of entry rose again — and the inflation ladder still applies to everything priced in divines.

Runes rotated again — opposite direction from last week. Rune of the Prism went from 0.08 div to 0.97 div (+1063%) while Lesser Robust Rune fell 67% (1.42 div → 0.46 div) and Iron Rune dropped 81% (1.84 div → 0.35 div). Week 4's chase names became Week 5's supply. Chase tier doesn't stay on one rune for long.

Ritual omens had the loudest sustained move. Omen of Answered Prayers climbed from 0.58 div to 2.9 div (+402%) — on top of the 241% it already posted in Week 4. Omen of Secret Compartments surged from 0.5 div to 2.36 div (+372%). Head of the King doubled again (+188%). Favour farming is repricing the omen book, not just one lucky name.

Lineage supports kept splitting. Tecrod's Revenge went from 0.07 div to 0.55 div (+730%) while Atziri's Allure fell 58% (3.56 div → 1.48 div) after Week 4's surge. Same category, opposite week — portfolio, not a single gem.

Soul cores joined the rotation. Emergent Instinct climbed from 0.68 div to 3.7 div (+446%) while Soul Core of Cholotl fell 55%. Cryptic Key ticked up 155% on a thick book — a currency name worth watching when keys and favour both move.

What moved down

Last week's rune chase gave back the move. Lesser Robust Rune and Iron Rune both finished sharply lower after Week 4's repricing. If you bought the rune ladder at the top, the market finished part of that argument — same rotation story as essences in Week 4.

Lineage supports rotated both ways in the same week. Atziri's Allure dropped 58% after Week 4's 623% climb. Ailith's Chimes fell 58% and Trickster's Shard shed 47% — chase tier doesn't stay on one name when the portfolio reprices.

Breach catalysts cooled from prior weeks' climb. Chayula's Catalyst dropped 51% (0.047 div → 0.023 div). Breach throughput is still thick, but the div-book repricing slowed on several catalyst names.

Delirium liquids split. Potent Liquid Contempt fell 48% while Ancient Potent Liquid Contempt climbed 148% — same mechanic, different tier, opposite week.

Base currency in divine terms kept sliding as the peg moved. Exalted Orb fell 44% priced in divines — the mirror of divines getting more expensive in Exalted terms, not a signal that Exalted farming stopped.

Rising
  • Rune of the Prism

  • Tecrod's Revenge
Lineage support +730% — chase tier moved.
  • Emergent Instinct
0.68 → 3.7 div — soul cores joined the rotation.
  • Omen of Secret Compartments

  • Iron Rune
    1.84 → 0.35 div — Week 4 rune chase reversed.
  • Lesser Robust Rune
    Last week's rune winner -67%.
  • Atziri's Allure
    3.56 → 1.48 div — Week 4 lineage chase cooled.

Soul core -55% while Emergent Instinct surged.

By the numbers

June 27–July 3 on the Exchange:

  • 90,390 price points in the window
  • 564 distinct items tracked on the busiest day
  • 681 ex per Divine at week close (from 389 ex on day one — Divine more expensive in Exalted terms)
  • 0.97 div Rune of the Prism close
  • 2.9 div Omen of Answered Prayers close
  • Runes category throughput still active — 143 items tracked, mid-tier repricing rotating weekly
  • Currency category still owns volume — Exalted and Chaos orbs dominate hourly throughput

What we're watching for week 6

Two macro threads: whether the Divine–Exalted peg can sustain above 600 ex or if the acceleration finally slows, and whether ritual omens keep repricing or runes take another turn before favour supply catches up. Lineage supports and soul cores are still the micro volatility — Tecrod's Revenge and Emergent Instinct climbed while last week's chase names finished lower.

Atlas unlock order still matters when categories rotate this fast — wrong tree means you're farming the mechanic after prices moved. The 335-passive route guide ties passive unlock order to the loops that actually show up on the Exchange.

We'll keep freezing these numbers every Friday — if you want the live edges while prices move, the scanner updates hourly.

Check the Exchange before you commit capital. Week 5 rewarded people who read the ex rate and rotated with ritual omens and the new rune chase — and punished people who held last week's rune and lineage winners into this week's supply.
