Week 1 — Runes of Aldur: chaos, churn, and the new chase items
Seventeen patches, a new chase tier, and a few crafts already printing. The first week of Runes of Aldur in one read.
Runes of Aldur went live on May 29. By Friday GGG had shipped seventeen distinct hotfix patches. That's not an economy yet, that's an earthquake.
We tried to write this recap from our own scanner data and ran into a wall — the telemetry pipeline is still maturing and we don't have a clean week of price history across every category. So this first edition leans on what the community shipped and on the patch notes themselves. Next week's recap pulls from our own numbers.
What the top Lineage Support gem of week 1 (Garukhan's Resolve) is selling for. The new chase tier is already mirror-adjacent.
What's hot: the new chase items
Lineage Support gems landed as the unambiguous chase tier. The top sell-listings cleared 200 div before week 1 was over. Mid-tier variants live in the 100 div range. If you've never seen a new mechanic mint a 200-div item from scratch in seven days, congratulations on your first PoE2 league.
The base currencies tell their own story. Divine Orb is trading around 89 Exalted, materially cheaper than recent leagues — guides are explicitly calling out that Divines are more common in 0.5 while Greater and Perfect tiers are rarer. The Mirror of Kalandra reference price sat at roughly 1.4k div, which puts the new top Lineage gem at about 1/7th of a mirror — wild for a mechanic that's six days old.
Top monk gear hit mirror conversation early. Reports of evasion boots listed at 100+ div, individual rings estimated at 18 mirrors, and new mirror-base quarterstaffs going for around 90 div by day three.
What's printing: the early-league flips
Quiver flipping is the canonical play of week 1. Buy ilvl 81 quiver bases for around 1 ex, slap an Omen of Putrefaction on them with a jawbone, and the hits sell at 10 to 20 div each. Roughly one hit per ten attempts. The math has been confirmed across multiple creators running it live.
Putrefaction crafts on boots are similar shape. ilvl 82 base hovering at 10 to 15 ex, full one-pair attempt cost in the 50 ex range, sales hit 15 to 20 div. The recipe is fresh enough that margins are still frothy.
Power Charge crafting on gloves is the higher-investment play. Self-crafting arcane surge plus crit-on-power-charge gloves on a magic evasion/ES base, using a desecration mod with around 7.5% unveil chance, lands gloves listed from 50 to 450+ div. Even the bricked attempts sell. Players are reporting roughly 200 div profit per day of crafting.
What's broken: the meta shift
The patch notes did most of the price-discovery this week. Greater Orbs got their minimum modifier level dropped from 55 to 44, which floods the early crafting tier and softens prices. Greater Essences are caught in a slot conflict with the new Alloy currency that competes for the same modifier line — they're trading at 50+ ex but the demand profile is mixed. Liquid Emotions got repositioned away from amulet anointing toward jewel modifiers, which means the old anoint-driven price structure is broken and re-discovering itself.
The most dramatic single move belongs to Recombinator and Omen of Corruption. Both removed in 0.5. The most-hoarded craft path of last league is simply gone, and the price discovery for everything that depended on it is starting from zero.
- Lineage Support gemsNew chase tier from scratch. Top variant 200+ div.
- CatalystsTied into the Breach Genesis Tree for ring/amulet/belt crafting. Steady demand.
- Verisium speculationNew armor currency. Expected to peak before mid-league supply saturation.
- Martial Artist, Spirit Walker, DeadeyeBuild meta shifting toward these three. Demand for their gear and gems is rising.
- Recombinator + Omen of CorruptionRemoved entirely from 0.5. The whole crafting path is gone.
- Greater OrbsMin modifier level 55 → 44. Floor pushed down.
- Greater EssencesSlot conflict with new Alloy currency. Mixed signal at ~50 ex.
- Build meta nerfsBlood Mage, Infernal Legion, Poison Pathfinder all hit hard.
By the numbers
A snapshot of what week 1 actually cost the average exile.
- 17 distinct hotfix patches between launch and Friday
- ~1.4k div Mirror of Kalandra reference price
- 89 ex per Divine Orb
- 203 div top Lineage Support gem
- 3 div Whittling omen, holding steady as the workhorse high-end crafting consumable
- 50+ ex Greater Essences, suppressed by the Alloy slot conflict
What we're watching for next week
Verisium speculation is the most volatile thing in the league right now — the question is whether the peak holds or supply saturates fast. The build meta is still settling, which means uniques and gems for the new top archetypes haven't found their floor or ceiling yet. And our scanner telemetry pipeline goes live this week — Week 2's recap will be data from our own hourly scans across every category, not just what the community ships.
If the patch churn slows down. If.
