Frequently asked questions

Scanner, Exchange math, leagues, and guides: the questions we see most often.

Getting started

What is Divine Tendies?

A free PoE2 scanner for the in-game Currency Exchange. It surfaces cross-currency flips and 3-to-1 vendor recipes where the math still works after gold listing fees and whole-number ratios.

Is there a desktop app or offline version?

Online only. Open the site in your browser at divinetendies.com. There is no standalone client or offline mode.

Does this work for Path of Exile 1?

PoE2 only today on the PoE2 Currency Exchange. We are actively working on supporting PoE 1 for the next league launch.

Cross-Currency Flips

If everyone uses this, will spreads disappear?

More people closing gaps generally means fairer prices for casual buyers. That is a feature, not a failure. 💪

In practice most players still map instead of babysitting the Exchange. Edges also rotate: old routes close, new ones open as prices shift each hour. This is not a static pool of free divines. It is a moving target you check when you want to flip.

How do I actually use a cross-currency flip?

You act as a market maker on a pair: buy on the cheap side of the spread and sell on the rich side, usually in the same session. You are not buying low and waiting days for a pump.

The dashboard shows the pair, integer ratios, gold cost, and a step-by-step playbook. Post those listings on the Exchange, then adjust if the book moved before you filled.

Why do playbooks use whole numbers?

The Currency Exchange only accepts integer ratios (for example 1 Divine for 131 Exalted, not 131.4). Playbooks quantize to what you can actually list.

If a route would leave fractional payout at the end, the math should either pocket excess on one leg or scale until the close leg lands on a whole number. If something on screen looks off, send a screenshot: that is exactly the kind of bug we fix.

Are gold listing fees included?

Yes. Routes include the gold cost of opening and managing listings. If fees wipe the edge, the row should rank low or disappear.

At higher volume you can burn through gold quickly even when the spread looks wide.

Watch your gold stack, not just div P&L.

Vendor recipes

Why are vendor recipes sometimes empty?

Recipes only show when the math works on current listings. Mid-league many chains sit at fair value.

Gold also gates big recipe flips: at high volume, listing fees can eat more than the spread pays. Not every league has temple-league gold inflation. Filter by what your stash can actually afford.

Should I run recipes or cross-currency flips?

Whichever has better realized return for your gold, time, and stash size. Flips often move faster. Recipes can be steadier when a tier is mispriced.

Sort by P&L or gold budget on the dashboard. Run what fits today, not the category that looked best last week.

Leagues & updates

How often does data update?

Hourly.

The sidebar shows how long ago the last scan finished (for example "Updated 12m ago"). This is a check-and-flip cadence, not a live tick chart.

Prices can move between scans. Re-check the Exchange before you post listings.

The spread closed while I was trading. Why?

Normal. The more you buy and sell on a pair, the gap tightens. Someone else can close the mispricing too. Listings refresh every hour.

If you found a wide spread that lasted days, you were lucky or the book was weirdly idle. Most edges are shorter. Plan to rotate pairs, not camp one route forever.

League dropdown is empty or the site says between leagues

The scanner only runs when an active challenge league is live and we are scanning it. Between leagues or after a cycle ends, data may pause until the next league opens.

If a league is running and you still see an empty selector or a stuck "waiting for scan", email us.

That is a bug, not intended downtime.

How many Divines do I need to start?

There is no official minimum. People have flipped with a single Divine and scaled up. Small stacks work on tight gold budgets and thin pairs.

You will hit walls faster: trades take longer to fill, gold fees hurt more, and high-volume routes need more capital. Use the gold budget filter and start with routes your stash can actually close.

Guides

How do guides relate to the scanner?

Guides explain league context, patch moves, and strategy. The scanner shows what is profitable on the Exchange right now.

Use guides for the macro story (inflation ladder, stash tab ROI, weekly recaps). Use the dashboard when you are ready to post listings.

What is the Weekly Market Recap?

A Friday series on what moved up, what crashed, and what still looks mispriced for the active league.

Recaps combine editorial context with numbers we track on the Exchange over the week. They are not a substitute for checking the scanner before you trade.

How often do new guides ship?

When there is a league spike, patch, or economy story worth a full article. No fixed daily schedule. Check the guides index or changelog when you want to see what is new.

Contact

How do I report a bug or bad data?

Reach out at divinetendies@gmail.com with the league, route or item, and what you expected vs what you saw. Screenshots of the dashboard and the Exchange help.

We read everything. Reddit comments and DMs on our posts also work if you prefer public threads.

Can I request a feature?

Yes. Gold cost on spreads, PoE1 support, and copy-to-clipboard trade strings come up often. We track what repeats.

One-person project: not everything ships fast, but repeated asks matter.
